May 2008
May's meeting will be held at the home of Arlene Wofford (contact the church for address information). Deloris Ripple will lead the devotions, and Roxie Sullivan will prepare lesson nine: "Above and Beyond, the Stories of Jonah and Ruth."
This meeting will take place at the church; PW Officers will hostess.
The Relay for Life team will host a freewill offering brunch after church to raise money for the American Cancer Society. Please attend and bring your friends - great food, great fellowship, and a great cause.
Our team has been formed, and we are looking for ways to increase donations. If you would like to donate to the American Cancer Society or purchase a luminary, contact a member of the team. Cathy Newland is the captain this year. Come out and support our team and the efforts of the ACS on June 20th, 7:00 pm at the High School football field. We will be selling root beer floats, and area cancer survivors will be honored during the first lap of the relay. The moving and inspirational luminary service will begin at 10:00 pm
